CREATIVE WRITING

Dreaming of writing a short story, a tale or a book? Mireille will stimulate you by teaching you how to use creative techniques. The impressive surroundings of Turkey, like nature/people/objects, are the inspiring sources, what else do you need? Writing inspired by your 5 senses! By activating your senses you will notice that you will develop an interesting point of view. Which eventually is shown by the final result. Find your inspiring spot in the open air and start your creative writing week.

Workshop

By using all your senses you will explore the surroundig. You will find words to describe your sensorial observations. Each day Mireille Geus will give you different instructions in relation to sensorial observation. During the workshop you will work on it, write the instruction, at the end of the workshop the results (text) will be discussed/reviewed. Every day Mireille will give you "home-work": items related with the reviewed results. In this manner you will evaluate/progress your writing abilities. Pieces of the final text of each participant will be read out by the author self.

Teacher

MIREILLE GEUS, studied Dutch Language. As a teacher she is working at the School for Writers: Schrijversvakschool at Amsterdam. Besides teaching she runs her own practice as a writing coach. She has various writing skills. For children she wrote about a dozen theatre plays and several books. For her books: "Virenzo en ik" & "Big" she received important awards. She wrote several scripts for television shown in famous programs for children. For adults Mireille wrote a fifty minutes play for radio.
